Geitner to Lead Cox's Media Solutions Group

Cox Automotive has named Brian Geitner president of its Media Solutions Group. He replaces Jared Rowe, who is departing the company for a new opportunity outside the automotive industry.

ATLANTA — Cox Automotive has named Brian Geitner president of its Media Solutions Group. He will oversee the company’s Autotrader, Kelley Blue Book, and Dealer.com business divisions and brands.

Geitner will begin his new role on Monday and will report directly to Mark O’ Neil, COO of Cox Automotive, according to the company. He succeeds Jared Rowe, who is departing the company for a new opportunity outside of the automotive industry.

“We are thrilled to have Brian lead the Media Solutions Group and continuing to oversee the evolution of marketplace to matchmaker, positioning the businesses to bring the right buyer to the right customer through an experience that leaves both parties fulfilled,” O’Neil said.

Geitner previously served as president of Cox Automotive’s Financial Solutions Group. The division includes NextGear Capital, a finance source serving more than 23,000 dealers across North America, the United Kingdom and Ireland. Under his leadership, the company doubled in size, expanded internationally, and became a powerful financing option for wholesale and independent dealers.
